Important: Please also bring a copy of our letter of confirmation.

At times, border control ask minors questions such as why they are travelling, how long they are staying, where they are going to stay, who is responsible for them during their stay, and may ask for a contact number. All this information is on the letter of confirmation we send after receiving the enrolment form.

How to get there?

Please check with the airline if your child can travel unaccompanied by an adult. We recommend taking advantage of our taxi service.

Gatwick – We recommend that you fly to Gatwick Airport, which is the nearest airport to Arundel. From there we can arrange for a driver to meet students in the arrival lounge. The journey normally takes under an hour.
Heathrow – Heathrow is the next nearest airport. The journey by car normally takes under an hour and a half.
Stansted– the journey between Stansted Airport and Arundel normally takes about two hours.

We do not recommend that you take a taxi from the rank outside the building as they cost a lot of money.
We are happy to arrange airport transfers for students through our own contacts. This will cost much less than a taxi from the ranks and can be shared.
The driver will meet students in the Arrivals Hall in Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted. He will hold up a sign showing the student’s name, and will then drop them off at the ECHO House. If the student cannot see the driver he/she should wait at the ‘airport information’ desk and phone the school.

IMPORTANT: Students are personally responsible for paying the driver directly for the taxi. Taxi money cannot be included in the ECHO fees. To make sure that the return journey can be paid for, students should deposit sufficient funds in the ECHO safe-box on arrival.

For students of 16 and over arriving at Gatwick or Heathrow there are other possibilities. Trains and buses can be caught from the airport buildings. When you arrive at Arundel Station, a taxi is easy to catch from there.
