Every Saturday, students at ECHO go on a whole school excursion – a full day of visits, activities and shopping. They are led by our teachers, who make sure that everyone is using English and provide help and guidance at all times.

Here are some of the excursion destinations.

ARUNDEL – The castle, cathedral, museum, art galleries and theatre

LONDON – Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey, the British Museum, the National Gallery, the West End

WINCHESTER – Winchester Cathedral, The Great Hall & King Arthur’s ‘Round Table’, Wolvesey Castle, Winchester College

BRIGHTON & HOVE – Brighton Pavilion, Brighton Pier, Brighton Marina, the Paddle Around the Pier Festival, the i360 Observation Tower

HAMPTON COURT & KINGSTON – Hampton Court Palace, a river trip on the Thames, shopping in Kingston

ARUNDEL & CHICHESTER – Arundel Castle (home to the Duke of Norfolk), Arundel Festival, Arundel Cathedral, Arundel Park & boating lake, Chichester Cathedral

WINDSOR – Windsor Castle, Eton School, the historic old town

PORTSMOUTH – HMS Victory and the Historic Ships, the Royal Naval Museum, the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping complex

Students at ECHO enjoy a range of social, sporting and creative activities either on site or through fully-staffed excursions. Again run by our teachers, they are great opportunities for students to practise the language they have learnt in the lessons, and to keep learning in an informal, fun way.
